Ideal Product Release

The Winter 2018 release focuses primarily on supporting additional integrations and providing further user experience improvements.

The new version of the Mobile application provides several new and enhanced features, while the Rentals module includes a few usability improvements based upon customer feedback.

Release Highlights:

  • Added two Application Program Interfaces (API): Get Part Information and Get Unit Information from Ideal, for use with an external interface
  • New BRP and Polaris vehicle spec and parts locator interfaces
  • BRP and Polaris PDS Data Consent requirement added
  • Product Registration interfaces based on specific Product Categories are now available
  • The wholegood Batch Registration interfaces have gender questions removed, batches no longer include used units, and been improved to work with Zip+4 postal codes
  • Promo Code for Honda PO submissions was added
  • Added new interfaces
  • New option to store signed documents in Document Management
  • Ability to sign Quotes and Estimates were added
  • Customer PO# field to the Purchasing Reports Special Order Receipt Labels was added
  • Create and save customized Views for the Inquiry screens throughout the program
  • Ability to save the default Work Order Code Group or Industry were added for businesses that serve multiple industries
  • Create a new work order, add a new customer, select a customer unit for a work order, and add parts to a work order from the mobile app
  • Can look up a wholegood or lookup a customer’s wholegood unit to add to the work order for repair
  • Change a work order repair unit, by selecting a different wholegood from the customer wholegoods history
  • Sign a work order on the mobile device, and optionally store the signed document as a PDF file in the cloud
  • View PDF files in Document Management on the mobile app
  • Update the Work Order Status to ‘Complete’ when clocking In/Out and completing the job

Please upgrade Ideal BEFORE downloading and installing the latest version of the Mobile application.

  •  Sales order or work order can no longer change to a rental order
  • Rental contract will not finalize if the End Date s left blank
  • Serial Number and Stock Number will display briefly when the mouse hovers over the rental item in the calendar
